چکیده

We consider an undetermined coefficient inverse problem for a nonlinear partial differential equation describing high-intensity ultrasound propagation as widely used in medical imaging and therapy. The usual term the standard model using Westervelt pressure formulation is of form ppt. However, this should be considered low-order approximation to more complex physical where higher order terms will required. Here we assume general case taken f(p) pt f unknown must recovered from data measurements. Corresponding typical measurement setup, overposed consist time trace observations acoustic at single point or on one-dimensional set Σ representing receiving transducer array fixed time. Additionally analysis well-posedness resulting pde, show injectivity linearized forward map use motivation several iterative schemes recover f. Numerical simulations also shown illustrate efficiency methods.

Damped Wave Equation with a Critical Nonlinearity

We study large time asymptotics of small solutions to the Cauchy problem for nonlinear damped wave equations with a critical nonlinearity { ∂2 t u+ ∂tu−∆u+ λu 2 n = 0, x ∈ Rn, t > 0, u(0, x) = εu0 (x) , ∂tu(0, x) = εu1 (x) , x ∈ Rn, where ε > 0, and space dimensions n = 1, 2, 3. Assume that the initial data u0 ∈ H ∩H, u1 ∈ Hδ−1,0 ∩H−1,δ, where δ > n 2 , weighted Sobolev spaces are H = { φ ∈ L; ...

A High Order Approximation of the Two Dimensional Acoustic Wave Equation with Discontinuous Coefficients

This paper concerns with the modeling and construction of a fifth order method for two dimensional acoustic wave equation in heterogenous media. The method is based on a standard discretization of the problem on smooth regions and a nonstandard method for nonsmooth regions. The construction of the nonstandard method is based on the special treatment of the interface using suitable jump conditio...

Operator Upscaling for the Acoustic Wave Equation

Modeling of wave propagation in a heterogeneous medium requires input data that varies on many different spatial and temporal scales. Operator-based upscaling allows us to capture the effect of the fine scales on a coarser domain without solving the full fine-scale problem. The method applied to the constant density, variable sound velocity acoustic wave equation consists of two stages. First, ...

Acoustic Tomography Based on Wave Equation

In the forward problem of acoustic tomography, one needs to be able to implement the wave equation numerically and find the values at each receiver point. In this research the possible solutions are studied and their properties are discussed and one proposed algorithm is selected as the satisfactory result in the sense of less numerical dispersion. Stability conditions for these algorithms are ...
